Matthew Morrison, better known as his "Glee" character Will Schuester, is engaged to his girlfriend of two years, Renee Puente, according to E! News online.

Morrison announced his engagement on stage at the White Tie and Tiara Ball in London to benefit the AIDS foundation. Puente, 26 and Morrison, 34, have reportedly been dating since 2011. See ring here.

"They are thrilled. It is the first marriage for them both," a source told E! News. "He loves her so much. The theme of the night was love, which is so appropriate."

Morrison arrived looked dashing in his tailored suit and bow tie, but Puente's navy blue embroidered gown was upstaged by the new diamond accenting her finger. Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin and Elton John also attended the event and sang a duet version of "Your Song" in honor of the newly engaged couple.

The "Glee" actor is currently in England promoting his new album Where It All Began, which is available in stores.

Morrison confirmed the engagement in a tweet: "An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf Ball. I'm going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente."

In a recent interview with The Independent, Morrison expressed his passion for the arts and revealed his plans to create real-life "Glee schools".

"It's kind of modeled after the performing arts school I went to [New York University's Tisch School of the Arts]. It would be great to have one in London. It's something I'd like to talk to Andrew Lloyd Webber about," he said.

The singer and actor believes arts education is an important element for underprivileged youth, and shouldn't be taken away due to budget cuts.

"I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't found that passion at a young age. I think it's a shame and a travesty to cut that stuff," Morrison said.
