Donna had the misfortune of incurring the full wrath of Louis' anger when he discovered Mike's secret. His reign of terror will continue when "Suits" season four continues on Wednesday night.

"We pick up moments later," Sarah Rafferty, who plays Donna, tells Headlines & Global News. "Our writers don't shy away from dealing with the repercussions. They get right into it."

Once Louis received confirmation from Donna that Mike had never graduated from Harvard Law School, he stormed into Jessica's (Gina Torres) office and made one major demand to keep his mouth shut - becoming a named partner. His new bargaining chip will "change the dynamics" at Pearson Specter... and perhaps Litt.

"Louis goes on a bit of a rampage when he gets back," Rafferty says. "At the end of episode 10, he was really taking it out on Donna and Jessica but his wrath is going to have a ripple effect throughout the whole firm and affect everybody in unique ways."

Donna has developed a "really deep, special bond" with Louis over the years, but she now has to weigh any guilt she feels for lying to him against the loyalty she holds for her boss, Harvey.

"It's rough. Of course, since I play her, I feel for Donna, like she was put into a horrible position. She has so much history with Harvey, always loyal to him and saw this secret. She's a part of it and guilty by association," she says.

As a dark mood settles over the present, "Suits" will flashback 12 years and juxtapose the current situation with a much lighter time for the characters. Rafferty also learned more about who Donna is today by exploring who she was then.

"Obviously, we know that Donna's a really confident woman so how did that confidence she has today manifests itself back then? How was that person leading into the person she is today?" the Connecticut native says. "But the character is the same. They have the same moral compass, but their experience level is different thus far."

Life experience won't be the only thing past Donna lacks. Her bank account at that time wouldn't allow her to afford the same designer threads that she fills her closet with now.

"When I went in for my fitting on that episode, Jolie [Andreatt, the costume designer] and I had to have a laugh because we were like, 'Okay, we cannot deny that Donna was not in the same income bracket 12 years ago," Rafferty laughs. "It's just a totally different world. It's fun going back to the moment before with these characters."

In between the flashbacks and Louis' rage, Donna could find a possible romance before the season closes. Rafferty is keeping positive thoughts and says to "stay tuned."

"Suits" returns for the final six episodes of season four on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 9 p.m. on USA.
