Oprah Winfrey has made it to the first place on the Forbes Most Powerful Celebrities list 2013, after slipping to the second place for the last two years.

Oprah Winfrey has been crowned as the most powerful celebrity by the Forbes magazine. The annual ranking of 100 celebrities saw Winfrey occupying the second place for the past two years, but not anymore. With earnings of $77 million from June 2012 to 2013 Winfrey was not the highest earning celebrity but she met all the other metrics of fame.

The list compiled by Forbes is not just based on the total earnings of the celebrities, but also considers social networking power, press highlights etc for its ranking. Forbes measured social impact across 11 social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google.

Lady Gaga managed to hold on to the second place despite abruptly canceling her "Born This Way Ball" Tour due to a hip injury. Gaga, who topped the Forbes list back in 2011, earned $80 Million and had the second highest press mentions. The "Marry The Night" singer had the highest fan following on Twitter with more than 38.6 million before Justin Bieber beat her record by attracting 40 million followers. Gaga has an enormous 57.9 million likes on her official Facebook page.

The third position is occupied by director Steven Spielberg. His estimated earnings are  listed at $100 million but he is low on social ranking.  Beyonce managed to hold the fourth place with $53 million earnings, while her husband, Jay-Z, stood 28 spots after her.

Madonna raked in the most monies with $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013. Despite a heavy income, the "Hung Up" singer got a fifth rank. Taylor Swift trailed the list at sixth place bagging $55 million.

The female dominated top 10 list includes three male celebrities other than Spielberg. Bon Jovi made it to the seventh position with $79 million earnings as of June 2013.

Justin Bieber ranked ninth despite his number one social media ranking. The 19-year-old Canadian singer earned $58 million with more than 40 million followers on Twitter.
