Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed a nice family outing in Santa Monica with their two kids, Apple and Moses, over the weekend. The pair was spotted dining at celeb hotspot Giorgio Baldi.

The former couple looked to be in good spirits leaving the restaurant but allegedly Martin got into a little incident with a photographer. According to TMZ, as Martin was trying to drive away a paparazzo came rushing towards the Jeep trying to take pictures.

Allegedly, the 37-year-old ran into the photographer with the car and the ambulance had to be called. The unnamed photog was taken to a local hospital but TMZ claims the entire ordeal is "weird" saying that another photographer was spotted standing across the street from the restaurant conveniently snapping pictures of the accident.

TMZ wrote that photogs supposedly never stand across the street of Giorgio Baldi, especially when a celebrity is leaving. According to X17, another paparazzo at the restaurant said Paltrow and Martin looked really happy to be spending time with their children together.

"It's rare to see Gwyneth and Chris like that, playing family with the kids," the photographer said. "There is usually some distance between them, like they take separate cars to meet up at a restaurant. But here they were all together, back together like one big happy family."

"They all seemed really happy to be together," the photographer added. "It was like this is the way they're supposed to be, together."

Could Paltrow and Martin be consciously recoupling? The "Iron Man" actress announced in March that they were splitting (or "consciously uncoupling") after 11 years of marriage.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote on her website GOOP. "We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

Even though the two are not together they have been spotted spending time together. Martin has also been rumored to be dating Jennifer Lawrence and has been spotted on several dates with "The Hunger Games" actress.

Recently Paltrow told the February issue of Harper's Bazaar UK that "there are times when I think it would have been better if we stayed married, which is always what your children want."

"But we have been able to solidify this friendship, so that we're really close," she added.
