The youngest competitor at the X Games Saturday won the gold medal.

Chloe Kim, 14, scored 92 points in her third and final run on the halfpipe in Aspen, Colo., according to NBC Sports. She defeated four-time X Games champion Kelly Clark, 31, who scored 90 points in her first run. Olympic medalist Torah Bright came in third place at the games.

At 13, Kim was too young to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, where Clark won a bronze medal, becoming the first snowboarder to win three Olympic medals in the halfpipe, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent reported. Clark has 13 X Games medals and set a record for the highest amplitude off the halfpipe in the women's event, reaching 16 feet and 11 inches. She has tied Shaun White for the most halfpipe medals in Winter X Games history.

On her final run, Clark crashed during her last trick landing on the fringe of the deck and slipping to the bottom. Kim, on the other hand, crashed during her practice run, NBC Sports said. She chipped a tooth and wore a bandage on her left cheek.

Kim considers Clark an idol, and said she has stood in long lines to get a autograph and was star-struck when she rode in a chairlift with her.

"All I could think was, 'I'm going to get Kelly Clark powers now,' " Kim said.

Clark, from West Dover, Vt., has a total of 73 wins, but lost her 74th to a high school student who was not alive when Clark debuted on the snowboarding scene, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent said. However, Clark finds it inspiring.

"In years to come, I'll be able to look at women's snowboarding and know that not only is it in good hands, but it's in the hands of someone I'm proud of," Clark said prior to the competition, according to NBC Sports.
