Two women and a 7-year-old girl died of gunshot wounds and a 12-year-old girl suffered gunshot wounds Saturday in New York. 

Police said they are searching for the suspect and they believe this is a case of domestic violence, according to the New Jersey Herald. Officers received a call around 5:40 a.m. to a home on 148th Ave. in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens. 

The New York Police Department said police found a 62-year-old woman, a 31-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl dead from gunshot wounds to the head, ABC News reported. The 12-year-old girl was taken to a hospital where she remains in critical condition. 

Police suspect Jonathon Walker, 34, of the crime. They said he fled the scene in an SUV and was believed to be carrying a .45 caliber gun. Police did not say how the victims and the suspect knew each other or how they were connected. The victims' names have not been released. 

No one answered the phone at the home, but city property records reveal that it's a two-family home owned by two females, the New Jersey Herald reported. This section of Queens is near the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
