Fans of "Pirates of the Caribbean" still have a few years until the fifth installment of the Disney franchise hits theaters but the film is expected to go into pre-production next month in Australia, which means cast rumors and plot spoilers are starting to leak online.

According to ScreenRant.com, several familiar faces will return for "Dead Men Tell No Tales" including star Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Reportedly, Bloom previously said that he was approached to return as part of a story that would focus on his character and his character's son.

During an interview with The Mirror, Brenton Thwaites, who plays the young male lead and could be Will's son, said that he couldn't say much about the film because "they're quite tight about that stuff."

However, he did provide a few minor details about his character and possibly the plot of the movie.

"It's about a young man who wants to reconnect with his father, Davy Jones," he told The Mirror. "There's a curse that prevents him from doing that. I think it's about how he goes around that and tries to fix it and he has to save his dad. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be a lot of fun."

Other actors said to be returning for "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa and Javier Bardem as the main villain. Deadline recently reported that Kaya Scodelario is in talks to play the female lead role but character details have not been revealed.

"Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is slated for a July 7, 2017 release date. The fourth installment of the franchise, "On Stranger Tides," was released in 2011.
