Rihanna was infuriated after Daily Mail writer, Liz Jones, called the singer a "toxic pop princess." According to the Daily Mail, Rihanna "launched a foul-mouthed personal attack" at the writer in very long Twitter message. The "Diamonds" singer insulted the writer for calling her a role model in the article because she "never aimed to set an example for young children."

After posting an unflattering picture of Jones on her Instagram page Rihanna writes saying that Jones' article is not considered journalism but more of a "sloppy menopausal mess." She went on to say that "'Role Model' is a not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat!... Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy!"

"LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here's a toxic tip: don't be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What's all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ....That shit ain't clever!!! That shit ain't journalism! That's a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they're perfect! I don't pretend that I'm like you, i just live... My life!! And I don't know why y'all still act so surprised by any of it!! "Role Model" is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own fucked up shit to work on, I'll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it's ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011...APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones"

The verbal attack started after Jones posted an article criticizing Rihanna for her "bad girl" behavior and Twitter photos. In the article she writes about the first time she met Rihanna and how sweet she looked comparing her to "Shirley Temple." The second time she said she met the pop princess was at London Fashion Week when Rihanna was there to promote and debut her teen collection for River Island. Again the writer said the singer looked pretty and presentable.

However, the "Pour It Up" singer's behavior has changed over the years causing many people, not just Jones, to question the message she is sending to her young fans. Jones also brought up Rihanna's overtly sexual dance moves and the fact that she dated Chris Brown again after he was convicted of assaulting her.

"While Rihanna knows when to tone it down in order to pull in advertising deals and keep her record label sweet the message she's sending to her young fans, through her explicit lyrics, vile dance moves and pictures on Twitter, is utterly toxic," Jones wrote in the article. "This poisonous pop princess should come with a health warning."

Jones decided to write the article after seeing photos Rihanna posted of herself over the weekend. The images did not sit well with writer. The singer posted a slew of photos on her Instagram of herself half-naked showing off her gun tattoo and reportedly smoking marijuana with friends. She also brought up her overtly sexual dance moves and explicit lyrics that her young fans dance and sing to.

"Of course, these little girls don't realize there is anything wrong with what they are doing - they just want to copy the chart-topping star... But only if she could be a better role model for young women.," she write. "I don't care if she has the voice of an angel and is self-made, feisty and confident. All these qualities pale to nothing when she went back to her abusive boyfriend Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009, that she promotes drug-taking, drinking and the sort of fashion sense on stage that surely invites rape at worst, disrespect at least."

Rihanna is currently on the European part of her "Diamonds" tour and will be performing in Germany this week.
