A sister of one of the two "Bonnie and Clyde" fugitive teenagers said no one has any idea why the two fled from home and have caused so much damage, ABC News reported on Friday.

Cheyenne Phillips, 13 and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Dalton Hayes have been on the run for nearly 2 weeks. The couple have been dating for three months, but the Hayes family said they didn't know she was 13 until very recently, accruing to Heather Martin, Hayes' sister.

"We were under the impression she was 19," Martin said. "She would go into the local convenience store and come out with tobacco products. We didn't know she was not an adult."

After Cheyenne's father reported her missing, that's when Martin said things really went downhill.

"My mother texted him [Hayes], 'Where are you at. Cops are looking.' Cheyenne asked 'Why?' My mom proceeded to tell them that, 'You are underage and they want you home.'"

A 2006 red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck the pair stole in Kentucky, and were spotted driving at a Walmart in South Carolina, was found abandoned in Georgia with firearms inside. Police say a checkbook was also in the truck, which Cheyenne and Hayes were using to write fraudulent checks.

A silver 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup, which was within walking distance of the abandoned Tacoma, was reported stolen, a separate ABC News article reported.

Hayes and Cheyenne are wanted for racking up thousands of dollars in property and auto damage after they stole a first truck and crashing it into a cattle farm before taking off and stealing the Tacoma.

"We don't have any clue at this point where they intend on going," Martin said today.
