In just two months' time Chris Brown has gone from teasing fans about a duet with then-girlfriend Rihanna to wanting the track completely removed before he releases his sixth studio album titled "X". According to the Daily Mail, Brown is throwing a fit because he no longer wants the "sexy" R&B song with his on-again off-again girlfriend anywhere on his album. Now that the two are no longer a couple he reportedly said he thinks its best if the song does not make the cut of the final version even though record are begging him to keep it because they think the fans would love it. Brown is so adamant about it that he is reportedly refusing to release the album until it's gone.

A source close to the "Fine China" singer told Hollywood Life that execs are willing to pay the star more money if he keeps "Put It Up."

"Just saw the working track list for "X" yesterday - Rihanna is not on there. Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn't allow the record to be released unless they took it off," the source told the website. "They're still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit... but at this point he's not changing his mind."

The album is scheduled to be released on July 16.  In April he told MTV that the "Diamonds" singer was going to be on the album saying that he had wrote a song for her to sing with him. The two have collaborated on songs in the past that have turned into hits. The did remakes to "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up The Music" and most recently "Nobody's Business" for Rihanna's "Unapologetic" album.

"It's more of an R&B record," Brown told MTV. "I wanted to do an R&B record with Rihanna because I didn't want it to be the same four-on-the-floor, pop. At the end of the day, that's what they expect from us, so I wanted to do more of a record that nobody really heard her sing on as far as that genre."

He said the song was going to be "sexy but youthful," something both of their fans could enjoy. He had even hinted at the two getting together for a Rihanna and Chris Brown album. Since the two are no longer together, for the time being, both the song and album can be tossed - or at least put on a back burner.

Rihanna is currently on her "Diamonds" tour while Brown has been seen getting cozy with girlfriend Karreuche Tran.
