Pizza Hut, one of the world's largest pizza chains, will start selling gluten-free pizza on Jan. 26 in the United States.

As gluten-free diets are becoming more popular in the United States for both health-related issues (Celiac disease) and personal choice, fast food chains have jumped on the bandwagon to accommodate every person's dietary needs. Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Domino's Pizza and others have added gluten-free meals to their menus.

Now we can add Pizza Hut to the growing list.

Beginning this month, Pizza Hut will be adding two gluten-free options to the menu: a 10-inch cheese-only pie or a 10-inch pepperoni pie. Customers who don't want to go gluten-free, but simply want to limit their intake, can create their own pizzas using other toppings. Pizza Hut's supplier for the dough is Udi's by Boulder Brands, according to the New York Times.

Unlike Domino's that sells gluten-free pizzas but does not guarantee that the products are really 100 percent gluten-free, Pizza Hut is working closely with Udi's and the Gluten Intolerance Group to make sure that its pizzas are gluten-free and fresh.

All of the ingredients that will be used for Pizza Hut's gluten-free pies will be stored in separate containers to avoid contact with gluten. Employees preparing the pizzas will be wearing gloves and will be using cutters and parchment papers designated for the gluten-free pizzas, Businessweek reported.

Pizza Hut is also promising to deliver the same flavor that customers expect and know from the brand.

"Our gluten-free pizza has all the flavor America has come to expect from a Pizza Hut pizza," David Gibbs, Pizza Hut's chief executive officer, said in a statement.
