Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian will make their first-ever trip to Armenia, the land of their father's ancestors.

The Kardashian sisters plan to visit the Eurasian country in April, according to E! News. The family affair will include Kim's daughter North West and Kourtney's three children Mason, Penelope and Reign. A few cousins may also join them on their self-discovering journey.

Kim's husband Kanye West may accompany the family if the trip doesn't interfere with his upcoming tour schedule.

"Visiting Armenia has been on Kim's bucket list forever," family insider told E! News. "They are all so excited! They want to learn about their heritage."

Robert Kardashian was the son of Armenian-American parents. His great-grandparents were Armenian immigrants from Karakale in the Russian Empire (now Turkey).

The Kardashian women have always honored their Armenian heritage. Each year, they pay respect to the victims of the Armenian Genocide that occurred under the Ottoman Empire (present-day Turkey) during World War I.

The similarity between the past and the present Syrian conflict displacing hundreds of Armenian Christians also caused Kim to speak out last spring. The refugees were forced from their homes in Kessab when rebel fighters and Assad loyalists clashed there.

Kim again spoke out when her Cosmopolitan magazine cover landed on the Turkish edition around the same time as the global Genocide Remembrance Day, April 24. The photo had come from her original cover shoot for the inaugural issue of the Armenian Cosmopolitan the previous month, according to E! News.
