Craig Wayne Boyd, the newest winner of "The Voice," has been added as the opener for the "Rascal Flatt's Vegas Riot!", the residency show at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

"I am so honored and excited to join Rascal Flatts in what will be an epic group of shows at the Hard Rock Hotel," Boyd said. "It is yet another check mark on my bucket list of things that I previously only dreamed of!"

The nine show Rascal Flatts residency run will take place between Feb. 25 and March 14. The Joint is a 4,000-seat venue.

The Hard Rock shows mark Las Vegas's first club residency by a country band, according to Rolling Stone Country. While Shania Twain, Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have all performed multiple shows in Las Vegas showrooms, Flatts' engagement marks the first Vegas club residency by a country group. Setting up shop inside the Joint, the trio follows in the footsteps of harder-hitting rock groups like Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses and, most recently, KISS, who have all called the venue home for extended periods, reports Rolling Stone.
