Barnes & Noble is offering an extended "Father's Day" promotion deal on its NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ for a limited period with  more than 700,000 Android apps and games on Google Play Store, millions of songs, movies, TV shows and more.

Barnes & Noble, leading retailer of digital media and educational projects, has decided to extend the "Father's Day" promotion after the huge success of its first "best prices ever" sale Sunday, June 16.

NOOK Media LLC, a subsidiary of Barnes & Noble, has extended another chance to all consumers to book their orders online or from bookstores to enjoy summer reading. The limited period discount on NOOK devices saves up to $120 compare to its original pricing.

"With the fantastic success of our Father's Day promotion, we decided to extend the great prices on NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ to help our customers gear up for a great summer reading season," Jamie Iannone, President of NOOK Media, said in a press release, Monday, June 17. "In our stores and online, customers have embraced these beautifully designed, lightweight devices with stunning displays that offer great reading and entertainment content.  We're thrilled to keep in place our best prices ever and deliver great value to make reading more affordable."

Consumers can avail the discount by ordering NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ online from the NOOK website and from any Barnes & Noble bookstore or any other leading retailers. The NOOK HD 8GB variant is available at $129 after a discount of $70 and the 16GB variant is available at $149, $80 less than its original price. However the major discount is given on the NOOK HD+ tablet which starts from $149 for the 16GB variant, same price as the NOOK HD 16GB. The NOOK HD+ 32 GB is available at $179, which is $120 less than its retail price.

Besides the latest addition of over 700,000 Android apps and games from Google Play store, millions of songs, thousands of movies and TV shows and more than 3 million books along with over a million free titles, NOOK Media offers noteworthy features on its NOOK devices. Previously, Barnes & Noble had announced a discount of up to 30 percent as a part of its "Mother's Day" promotion, May 12. The company went a step ahead this time by offering discounts up to 44 percent on its HD devices.
