18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe has reportedly been shot to death. According to MTV News, the young Louisiana rapper was found dead but details surrounding the shooting remain sketchy. The news was confirmed on Twitter by Lil Snupe's manager, Leem7st.

Lil Snupe was signed by rapper Meek Mills late last year. The young rapper passed his demo to Meek Mills during a tour stop in Louisiana, MTV reports. In less than an hour, he was signed by the "House Party" rapper.

"He was in a van, they was finna pull off. And I went and knocked on the van, on the window," Snupe told MTV in February. "They let the window down, grabbed the mixtape and it was like 10 minutes, 20 minutes later they called me."

Meek said he knew he needed to sign Snupe because he saw a lot of potential in him.

"He was spittin' so much pain, he's from the south with a flow like an east coast guy," Meek told MTV. "Like with that bounce flow, all over the place, he really can spit, and he was talking that talk like I can really relate to. I seen potential in him."

There have not been any official details released about the homicide but according to rumors on Twitter and rapper MJ Almighty, Snupe was reportedly shot and killed over a gambling bet for $100. Meek has not tweeted about the death but earlier this morning he sent out a frantic tweet asking Lil Snupe to contact him.

Before his death, Snupe released one mixtape "R.N.I.C." but was looked at as an up-and-coming artist. Fans immediately took to Twitter to express condolences after hearing the news.
