Those looking forward to buying Apple's upcoming smartwatch may not have to wait too long to get it, a new report suggests.

Several sources say the tech giant plans on making the Apple Watch available to consumers in March, and that it will be available in three versions: standard, Sport and Edition, according to 9to5Mac. The watch is also expected to launch with several different wristband designs.

The report comes after Apple announced it will begin shipping the device in "early 2015."

The Apple Watch made its debut back in September during a launch event for Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Features of the device include an accelerometer, gyroscopes and sensors for keep track of the user's health. The watch will also make use of a connected iPhone's GPS and Wi-Fi.

The sources told 9to5Mac that Apple will have Retail Store employees take part in an extensive testing program from Feb. 9th and Feb. 16th to learn more about the Apple Watch. They added that the program will take place at offices in either Cupertino, Calif. or Austin, Tex.

Apple plans on selling the metal and glass sports model of the watch for $349. Rumors are that the stainless steel and sapphire crystal standard model will go for $500 and the gold version will go for thousands of dollars.
