Francesca Hilton, daughter of hotel mogul Conrad Hilton and Zsa Zsa Gabor, died at the age of 67 in Los Angeles on Monday, People reported on Tuesday.

A statement from her rep, Edward Lozzi, said Hilton likely died from a stroke and heart attack.

"As Francesca's publicist and one of her best friends I am shocked," he said.

"We were on the phone minutes before she died," Lozzi added. "We were discussing her book she was writing and a possible deal. She had to go to the restroom. She never made it out. I am so sad about my friend."

Hilton's finace, Michael Natsis, was with her during the medical emergency. He tried to resuscitate Hilton with CPR before she was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead. Hilton is survived by her mother, who is 97.

Hilton battled her stepfather in court for many years over Gabor's care and finances. Lozzi said that her stepfather, Frederic von Anhalt, barred Hilton from visiting the house to see her ailing mother. Gabor is suffering from dementia and isn't able to speak, USA Today reported.

Hilton was on the phone with her attorney planning next steps hours before she died.
