After trading Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith on Monday, New York Knicks president Phil Jackson reportedly is eying two more moves, including one for Washington Wizards guard Glen Rice Jr.  Monday's moves, which included waiving Samuel Dalembert, now give the Knicks a bigger chunk of cap room to use on signing a free agent this summer.

Jackson was busy leading up to Monday night's trade between the Knicks, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.  With the trade completed, Jackson had put New York in a better position to succeed in the future.

Per Marc Berman of the New York Post:

"In a three-way deal with Oklahoma City and Cleveland, Jackson shipped shooting guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to LeBron James' Cavaliers and also waived center Samuel Dalembert, whose contract would have become fully guaranteed on Saturday, in a separate transaction.  The trade became official late Monday.

"The Knicks received three players with non-guaranteed contracts, a 2019 second-round pick and two trade exceptions worth $6 million and $2.6 million, respectively."

Once New York waives the three non-guaranteed contracts, which they're expected to do by Wednesday, New York will have around $33 million of cap room to use in free agency this summer.

Before July, though, Jackson reportedly is considering making another couple of in-season moves.

"The Post reported Jackson has interest in Westchester Knicks point guard Langston Galloway and could be intrigued by Wizards youngster Glen Rice Jr., who reportedly will be waived," Berman wrote.

Rice improved his stock with his strong showing in this past summer league, but he fell out of favor with coach Randy Wittman after the two had an unplesant exchange on the sideline in early November.

Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reported Washington is shopping Rice but will waive him before Wednesday night if a suitor can't be found.  If the Wizards do release him Wednesday, he'd clear waivers and be available for Jackson to sign by Jan. 10
