LeBron James lost his always-present headband in the fourth quarter of the NBA Finals Game 6. The loss seemingly reinvigorated the four-time MVP, who then went on a furious comeback to win Game 6 in overtime, 103-100. Metta World Peace, Kevin Hart and others all reacted on Twitter.

James lost the headband going up for a basket with 8:59 remaining in the fourth quarter. He finished at the rim, but never retrieved the fallen accessory. The Heat, down 80-75, then began its rally.

James appeared to play better without the headband. In his first 36 minutes with it, he logged 20 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, two steals and two turnovers, according to Sporting News.

Without it, James recorded 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 14 minutes.

"I guess the headband was the least of my worries at this point," James told reporters after the game.

In reality, the headband was irrelevant to James' big fourth quarter performance. But that didn't stop twitter from lighting up about it. NBA players, analysts and fans took to social media to comment on the rare sight of James on the court without a headband.

The question for the next 24-hours will be, for better or worse, whether James dons the headband for Game 7. San Antonio plays Miami on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
