French startup Emiota unveiled a new belt Sunday at the Consumer Electronics Show that takes away the hassle of loosening your belt buckle after eating a huge meal.

The smart device, called Belty, expands and contracts throughout the day based on how much you've eaten and how much you've exercised to make up for that big lunch you had, according to Mashable.

Small sensors, an accelerator and gyroscope are used to measure movement, so the belt will let you know if you need to be more active. The belt is something that can be worn for years since it comes with motors that expand and retract based on the user's waist size.

A connected iPhone app is tasked with charting data collected throughout the day and providing feedback and suggestions in push notifications on how to keep your waistline thin, Business Insider reported.

Belty is currently only available in steel gray with a bright blue trim, and the release date for the device has yet to be revealed.

Emiota has yet to decide on a price for Belty, but a representative told Mashable on Sunday that the company views the device as a "high-end" product, and that a luxury price tag would fit best.
