Demi Lovato is looking forward to having a healthy 2015.

The 22-year-old "Heart Attack" singer is starting the New Year off with an inspiring post about her body image. Lovato posted a side-by-side photo from the beginning and end of 2014, showing off her weight loss and newly transformed body.

"I was beautiful then, and I'm beautiful now," she wrote. "I decided to focus on bettering myself by making changes in my life with health, balance, endurance and consistency."

The former Disney darling also urged her fans to take action in their own lives.

"You don't have to wait till the beginning of the new year to make resolutions for yourself," she explained. "It's all about loving and taking care of the only body you will ever have ... Cherish it, love it, embrace it. Because when you do ... it begins to show. Goodbye 2014. Who's excited for what we can accomplish in 2015?!! Let's do this!!!"

In an interview with Fitness Magazine, Lovato opened up about her struggles with eating healthily while on tour, saying she was "obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time." She credited her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, for "calling her out" on her behavior.

Lovato has spent years battling bulimia, self-mutilation, bi-polar disorder and addiction. While on tour, Lovato admitted to eating four smalls meals and two snacks per day and exercising daily.

"Exercising has been so important for my recovery, both physically and mentally," she explained. "On show days I count my concert as a workout, but on my off days I try to work out once in the morning and again at night. It can be a lot between performing and traveling, so I'm careful not to push myself too hard."
