Play-D'oh!

Play-Doh has received major backlash for its latest product, the Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset, due to the unfortunate resemblance one of the tools has to the male anatomy. A plunger device meant to create "icing" for the pretend baked goods looks exactly like a penis.

"Play-Doh thought it was a good idea [to] make this Cake Mountain piece. Complete with blood vessels," Twitter user @aahfeekiee wrote.

Parents flooded Play-Doh's Facebook page with complaints (the photos and comments have since been deleted). The modeling clay's owner Hasbro issued a statement on Play-Doh's Facebook page addressing the "extruder tool." It has offered to replace the piece with a new product now in development.

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool. Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro's Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264," Play-Doh wrote.

The toy company gave no explanation to how the penis-shaped tool passed in front of countless eyes before it was packaged, shipped and placed under Christmas trees across America where children would open the box and play with the device in front of their parents' frightened eyes.

The Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset consisted of three cans of Play-Doh modeling compound and two cans of Play-Doh Plus compound (a softer and smoother clay). The toy also came with three cake molds, two plates, a knife, a fork and a textured roller. It sells for $18.99 on Amazon.
