Amy Adams is confused and frustrated after the "Today" show cancelled her interview moments before she was expected to go on air.

The 40-year-old Oscar-nominated actress was expect to appear on the morning show Monday to promote her upcoming film "Big Eyes," which was directed by Tim Burton. However, her segment was reportedly pulled after the actress and producers of the show failed to agree on the terms of her interview.

According to the New York Daily News, the show's producers notified Adams and her team that she would be questioned about the recent Sony hacking scandal and wanted the actress to discuss the leaked email, which revealed the salaries of her "American Hustle" co-stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale.

After the cancelled segment, the "Today" show released a statement addressing Adam's absence from the show.

"As a news program, the Today show doesn't allow guests to put restrictions on interviews," the statement read. "In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview."

A source told the Daily News that Adams "freaked out" and "got aggressive" when, told that she would be asked about the hacking scandal.

During an interview with USA Today, the actress shared her opinion on the incident.

"I expressed that I was uncomfortable. I said I would rather not add my voice to this conversation," Adams said. "But it was clear they were drawing a hard line. That this would be part of the conversation."

Adams said she assumed the interview was still going to happen after her conversation with the producers. But minutes before she was scheduled to go on air, Adams said she was told her interview was cancelled.

"I walked away from the conversation and went up to the room to do the interview," she said. "I assumed they were going to ask me about the (Sony hacking). And I was prepared for that, to whatever degree I was prepared."

She added, "I was informed that they had decided to pull the interview. I was confused and definitely frustrated. I still don't understand."
