A recent Dollywood guest has filed a lawsuit against the Dolly Parton amusement park following a traumatic accident on the Waltzing Swinger ride.

Tedi and Derryl Brown claim Tedi suffered lasting brain damage and broken bones when she slipped out of her swing cart and fell 10 feet onto the concrete below, according to TMZ. They demand the park pay them $475,000 in damages.

The couple claims Dollywood park officials ignored wet weather conditions, which made the ride too slippery and posed a safety concern for passengers. The Dollywood website states the Waltzing Swinger is subject to closures during inclement weather conditions such as lightning.

The revolving swing ride lifts guests 25 feet into the air above the Country Fair section of the park. The ride also provides specially designed seats to accommodate a parent and child, who must stand at least 42 inches.

Dollywood released this brief statement to the Daily Mail: "Out of respect for the process and as a matter of practice, Dollywood does not comment on pending litigation. We look forward to this issue being resolved and anticipate commenting at that time."

Country singer and actress Dolly Parton co-owns the amusement park with Herschend Family Entertainment. The park opened in 1961 and is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
