Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross wasted no time starting their new family together.

The couple, who got married on Aug. 31, is expecting their first child together, according to E! News. The new baby will join Ashlee's six-year-old son Bronx, her child with ex-husband Pete Wentz.

The 26-year-old Ross, the son of singing legend Diana Ross, wanted to start having kids quickly with Simpson. He also plans to have a big family.

"We're working on it," Ross told E! News last month. "I would like it. As many as possible."

Ross and Simpson stepped out for the first time in summer 2013. He then proposed to her in January while vacationing in Hawaii. Diana officiated her son's wedding.

In between wooing Simpson and walking her down the aisle, he starred in the latest "Hunger Games" film "Mocking Jay Part 1" as Cressida's (Natalie Dormer) assistant, Messalla. He also dropped his first single in three years "How to Live Alone." His wife also makes a cameo in the lyric music video for the song as does his famous mother.

The new baby will also join the Simpson brood that includes sister Jessica's two kids, one-year-old son Ace and two-year-old daugther Maxwell.
