Two "American Idol" alums - Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler - have entirely different views about having children. Mom-to-be Underwood is relishing the idea of a growing family. Pickler says no way - kids are not in her future.

"It's so exciting for Carrie," Pickler told OK! Magazine, "but I don't want the responsibility of raising a human being."

At 28, Pickler is three years younger than her fellow "American Idol" star, and the two have become friends over time. Pickler admitted she's just fine with being Aunt Kellie. The "Little Bit Gypsy" singer and her songwriter husband, Kyle Jacob, are comfortable taking care of each other and no one else at the moment.

Underwood, on the other hand, has acknowledged that she is elated that she's expecting her first child - a boy - with NHL star husband Mike Fisher. She recently told Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex that they are narrowing down the list of potential names for Baby Fisher.

"We have a couple that we're OK with," she told the radio show host.

Underwood confessed, however, that even though they have a list of names they're considering, they may not zero in on a final name choice until they look their baby in the eyes.

"We might wait until we meet him and then see what he looks like," Underwood said.

Pickler, from the small town of Albemarle, North Carolina, first came on most people's radar as a contestant on "American Idol." After making it into the popular show's top six in 2006 with Taylor HicksKatharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry, she was eliminated. Less than two weeks later, she signed a record deal with Sony BMG Nashville.

A few months later, her first single, "Red High Heels," was released just ahead of her debut album, the appropriately titled "Small Town Girl." The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and Pickler has been delivering hit singles and albums ever since. Her latest album, her first for Black River Entertainment, is "The Woman I Am."

"I am so fortunate to have good health, good friends, a great husband and a good team of people around me," Pickler told HNGN. "I really can't ask for anything more. I just want to continue singing my songs and being on the road with my fans. I am already so blessed."

It just seems like yesterday that Underwood - a fresh-faced gal from Muskogee, Oklahoma - was standing wide-eyed on the stage as winner of the fourth season of "American Idol" with a world-wide TV audience looking on.

She has since won six Grammys, amassed more than 95 major honors, sold more than 64 million records worldwide and recorded 18 No. 1 singles.
