With last night's naming of Craig Wayne Boyd as the Season 7 champion of "The Voice," country music superstar coach Blake Shelton racked up the fourth season of having his team member come out on top.

Going into the finale, the odds were heavily in favor of fellow coach Adam Levine, who had three singers competing: Chris Jamison, Matt McAndrew and Damien.

On the brink of last night's "The Voice" finale, Blake Shelton had proclaimed that if one of Levine's three contenders did not win, it would be a massive upset, according to Yahoo! News

"If he doesn't win 'The Voice' this year with three people--three people!--it is the most epic fail," Shelton told "Extra" following Monday night's performance show

Moments after Boyd was crowned the winner, the joy of beating his long-time pal and Maroon 5 frontman was not lost of Shelton.

Standing next to Boyd, Shelton declared, "It's f---ing awesome..."Will I rub it in Adam's face? He may quit the show before I'm done rubbing this in his face, but what's awesome is this guy holding this trophy."

"I don't care if it's politically incorrect. I don't give a crap at this point, because we went into this thing with the odds stacked against us and I'm not talking about to beat Adam. It's just awesome to know that so many people connected with this guy with the odds against him."

All the joking and jabbing aside, it was a hard-fought and oh-so-sweet victory for both the celebrity coach and his last remaining singer.

"I really haven't had time to process it yet," Boyd told reporters moments after his win. "It caught me so off guard. I don't know what I expected."
