Rocksteady's upcoming "Batman: Arkham Knight" game is getting a prequel comic book which follows the events of "Batman: Arkham City," DC Comics has announced.

The comic's story begins right after the events of "Arkham City," as Bruce Wayne recovers from his injuries and wonders if Gotham still needs Batman to survive. "But as the sun rises in Gotham City, dangerous new threats emerge from the shadows...and the Arkham Knight is just beginning," DC stated in the press release.

Unlike the previous Arkham games, the main villain (the aforementioned Arkham Knight) isn't based on a character that has appeared in Batman's established continuity beforehand, so this prequel comic will assuredly introduce him in proper comic context, of course.

The comic book will be written by Peter J. Tomasi with art by Viktor Bogdanovic and Art Thibert. Dan Panosian will be the cover artist for the series. The first issue goes on sale March 11, and it will include two variant covers, one by Gary Frank and the other will feature art from the game.

"Arkham Knight" launches in June 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was originally supposed to launch this fall, but developer Rocksteady pushed it back to add more polish.

A three-part trailer for the game was recently released called "Ace Chemicals Infiltration," and someone was industrious enough to edit it all together. It is very well done overall and you can check it out below:
