Rumors are swirling once again that a fifth "Indiana Jones" film is in the works on some level, this time coming from Variety who recently spoke with Disney CEO Robert Iger on the topic.

"We'd love to make another 'Indiana Jones' movie but we're pacing ourselves right now," Iger told Variety, who noted that Iger also insinuated that "Star Wars" had to be their main focus at this time.

When Disney bought Lucasfilm, Iger told stockholders that they had purchased the company essentially for the perceived value of the "Star Wars" franchise, basically reducing "Indiana Jones," special effects house Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), and other Lucas assets to just extras in the transaction.

Disney would later say that there were "no immediate plans" for a new "Indy" flick, but there have been persistent rumors surrounding either a final installment with Harrison Ford, a passing of the torch to another actor or a reboot, with names like Chris Pratt and Chris Pine tossed around at various times to take up the whip and fedora, but there are no solid sources for any of those rumors.

One of the most incessant whispers has been that another "Indiana Jones" film was something Harrison Ford stipulated in order to do "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Ford has stated for quite some time that he felt Han Solo should have perished in "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi," and that he was disinclined to reappear as the scruffy, but lovable, space pilot should the opportunity arise, which it obviously has.
