As the consequences from the Sony hack continue to unfold, there is now potential news concerning Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War."

Leaked emails reportedly reveal that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: Civil War" directors Anthony and Joe Russo will direct the two-part clash between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Mad Titan, Thanos.

According to a piece at Portuguese site Overtice, the Russo's emailed Sony chairman Amy Pascal, stating that it's "a pity that negotiations with Marvel did not work" (referring to the recent news that Marvel Studios tried, and failed, to get Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War"), before revealing that they will direct 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" and 2019's "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2," once they have wrapped on "The Gray Man" for Sony.

Meanwhile, the Russo's subsequently offered to produce future instalments of Sony's troubled "Spider-Man" series via their production company Bullitt, stating that "a difficult conversation" would have to take place between Sony and current "Spider-Man" producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, but one that was "worth having."

Evidently, Pascal did not reply to the offer, although the Russo's email was said to have been sent a week before the hack, so perhaps this gives Sony something else to consider at the "Spidey Summit" they are holding in January.
