The no-holds-barred comedian Amy Schumer will host the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.

MTV chose the younger and prettier but equally hilarious Schumer after late-night host Conan O'Brien emceed the fan-favorite ceremony last year. The awards will air on Sunday, April 12, at 9 p.m. from the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

"I am honored to be hosting the awards," Schumer said. "I will carry the audience with me like a teen mom #breaktheinternet #breakmywater."

Schumer took over the MTV Twitter in the hour before she made the big announcement. She also introduced her hosting #StarterPack which includes a glass of red wine, condoms, a pair of Spanx and, of course, the MTV "golden popcorn" trophy.

The 33-year-old actress stars in her own show on Comedy Central called "Inside Amy Schumer." The third season premieres in April.

She started as a standup comedian in 2004 and finished fourth on the fifth season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2007. She's made small appearances in "Girls," "30 Rock" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

She recently finished her first screenplay "Trainwreck," which Judd Apatow will direct. Schumer will also star in the film with an eclectic cast including Tilda Swinton, Daniel Radcliff, Bill Hader, John Cena and Lebron James.
