A 19-year-old girl from Mississippi was mysteriously burned to death over the weekend, which shook up the small town of Courtland that's comprised of roughly 500 residents, according to CNN.

In the mom-and-pop gas station, where the deceased Jessica Chambers was reportedly a regular, surveillance video shows her arriving at the gas station two hours before the reports of her car being ablaze.

Chamber's was found by firefighters called to the car blaze, but contrary to initial reports, she was not found ablaze walking on the side of the highway, according to CNN.

John Champion, district attorney for Mississippi's 17th Circuit, said Chambers approached one of the firefighters on the scene and said something, but that something has not yet been released. Champion said her last words will help solve the case.

Mississippi authorities say a fire accelerant was definitely used in the burning of Chambers and her car, but that accelerant has not been released to the public either.

Previous reports claimed the accelerant had been poured down her throat and into her nose, but Champion said it is not yet clear whether the chemicals were poured on her or on the car.

In the surveillance video, Chambers is seen getting out of her vehicle and walking towards the entrance of the store, but before making it to the door, someone catches her attention, and she walks off the camera for a couple of seconds before going into the store to pay for her gas, according to CNN.

Before leaving her house, Chambers received a call which Champion says could be "the key to everything."

Some reports claim she left her home to go to a party, while others state she left to clean her car and grab something to eat. Chambers was found burnt in camo pajamas.

"Nobody deserves what she went through, she was a cheerleader. She was really well-known. She was loved," said Chambers' sister Amanda.
