A grumpy cat may not have earned an Arizona waitress, $100 million, but she was able to leave her position after the feline became popular on the Internet in 2012.

"I was able to quit my job as a waitress within days of her first appearance on social media and the phone simply hasn't stopped ringing since," Tabatha Bendesen told The Express, about the animal named Tardar Sauce. Bendesen claims information about Grumpy being valued at 64 million pounds, or $100 million is not true.

Nonetheless, Grumpy became a hit when a photo of her was posted on Reddit. Several memes, a book, stuffed animals, a coffee drink, and a job promoting cat food, Friskies have highlighted the cat's career thus far. A movie, titled: "Grumpy Cat"S Worst Christmas Ever," is next on the slate.

"Everybody's expecting this movie to be terrible," says Ben Lashes, manager of Grumpy Cat and an executive producer on the film told The Arizona Republic. "Well, Grumpy Cat is the perfect critic. If anybody would hate Christmas and cheesy Lifetime movies, it would be Grumpy Cat.Still, he's now the star of a movie,"Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever."

Lifetime executive Arturo Interian obtained the concept for the film after his daughters found Grumpy Cat funny.

"The cat is incredibly cute, which takes the edge off some of the snark," Interian told The Republic. "Then, my kids don't really know who Garfield is. They don't know Felix the Cat. There's really a space for Grumpy Cat."
