Gwen Stefani, after only one season as a coach, won't be back for Season 8 of "The Voice."

She's out. Former coach Christina Aguilera is back again, and will return to her red coach's chair for the new season.

But it appears that Aguilera's return is not a permanent move, and neither is Stefani's departure. The two stars will switch places again on the popular singing competition show, according to Hollywood Life.

While speaking of Aguilera's return, an insider revealed, "Everyone knew she was coming back once she left. It was always the plan."

"For Gwen to do 'The Voice' is a re-launching pad for things she wants to do in her career. She is going to work more on fashion, music and other things, now that she has a fresh coat of paint on her from the exposure of 'The Voice.'"

"But one thing for sure is she will be back on 'The Voice' in the future. 100 percent. They all love her there," the insider said.
