Kirk Cameron fears for the future of Christmas. The Internet Movie Database users fear for the future of filmmaking with movies like Cameron's "Saving Christmas."

The entertainment website ranked the holiday movie at No. 1 on its Bottom 100 chart, a list of the 100 worst rated films ever by IMDb users. "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" received a 1.4, which placed it ahead of 2010's "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" at 1.8.

In the movie, the born-again Christian attempts to salvage the Christian holiday by reminding his audience of the "biblical basis for our time-honored traditions and celebrations" and inspires them "to stand strong against a culture that wants to trivialize and eliminate the faith elements of this holy season."

Critics across the board panned the movie, which holds a 0 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film does get a 32 percent audience score from the movie review website, thanks in part to Cameron's campaign to bump up the rating.

"Help me storm the gates of Rotten Tomatoes! All of you who love 'Saving Christmas' - go rate it at Rotten Tomatoes right now and send the message to all the critics that WE decide what movies we want our families to see!" the former "Growing Pains" star wrote on his Facebook page in November.

The plan backfired immediately with the rest of the Internet rating it back down. The film did average a $2,486 per-screen gross on opening weekend last month, according to The Wrap.

Cameron also believes mothers hold the key to saving the commercialized holiday. He called on all moms to bring back the true spirit of Christmas this season with their decorations, cooking and singing.

"If you are a mom, if you are a wife, if you are the keeper of your home, I want you to know that your joy is so important this Christmas," he said in a video posted to his Facebook page. "Because Christmas is about joy and if the joy of the Lord is your strength, remember the joy of the mom is her children's strength."

He continues, "So don't let anything steal your joy. If you let your joy get stolen, it will sap your strength. Let your children, your family, see your joy in the way that you decorate your home this Christmas, in the food that you cook, the songs that you sing, the stories you tell and the traditions that you keep."

Other notable films on IMDb's Bottom 100 list include 2003's "From Justin to Kelly" (No. 23), 2001's "Glitter" (No. 27), 2005's "Son of the Mask" (No. 31) and 2003's "Gigli" (No. 67).
