Aaron Carter is still obsessing over ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff even though they broke up 10 years ago. The 26-year-old "I Want Candy" singer raised a few eyebrows when he Instagrammed a photo of himself watching an old episode of "Lizzie McGuire."

The Christmas special, which aired in 2001, featured Carter and his then-girlfriend.

"Merry Christmas Lizzie McGuire. #IWantCandy #AaronCarter #Flashback," he captioned the photo. "I never actually watched this before."

Some fans tweeted that they thought it was cute Carter was still pining over Duff after all this time, but others said he "needs to chill with his obsession with Hilary Duff."

On Friday, Carter fired back at the comments, writing, "It's not my fault that @DisneyChannel was playing my episode of Lizzie McGuire while I had some time to watch TV the other night."

He later added, "All of these jokes aren't funny anymore. Let it go because it's starting to creep ME out now."

Duff hasn't responded to the Instagram post but she did admit that a previous public display of love towards her by Carter made her feel "uncomfortable." Earlier this year, he made headlines for tweeting that he'll "spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her."

When Duff was asked about the tweet on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" she hesitated to answer.

"It's... ugh! I don't know. I don't know what to say about it! It was so many years ago. I literally haven't seen him in... So, it's uncomfortable," she said.
