Multiple universities have severed ties with comedian Bill Cosby amid numerous sexual assault allegations. Even the United States Navy is distancing itself from him. Now, he is starting to lose the public opinion battle with fans as well.

Cosby's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized on Thursday night, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday. The word "rapist" was graffitied on the sidewalk plaque multiple times, NBC reported.

"When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark," said a spokeswoman from the Chamber, which awards the stars.

Cosby received the star on the world-famous Hollywood Boulevard on Nov. 23, 1977. The Chamber spokeswoman said the plaque was being cleaned as of Friday morning.

Three more women came forward and accused Cosby of sexual assault on Wednesday, according to NBC. The comedian has continuously refused to comment on any allegations.
