Coldplay could be working on their final album.

Seven months after releasing their sixth studio album, "Ghost Stories," the pop-rock band has already returned to the studio to work on a follow-up album, reportedly titled "A Head Full of Dreams."

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe on Thursday, frontman Chris Martin mentioned that the band's seventh studio album is likely to be their last.

"We haven't told anyone this, but we're making an album called 'A Head Full of Dreams'. We're right in the middle of it," Martin said. "It's our seventh thing and the way we look at it is like the last 'Harry Potter' book or something like that. Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something."

Grammy-winning group formed in 1996 and released their debut album, "Parachutes," in 2000. During their career, they released several hit songs, including, "Yellow," "Viva la Vida" and "The Scientist."

"It was great to go from 'Ghost Stories' to go right back in the studio," Martin added. "Now we're making things that sound different and it's a very fun time to be in our band. I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing or else we wouldn't put everything into it."

Martin shared that the group will go on tour in support of their next album, which is reportedly scheduled for a 2015 release.
