Yota's second smartphone to feature an electronic paper display on the back is now available in the U.K.

The e-ink screen separates the YotaPhone 2 and its predecessor, which debuted in 2013, from the rest of the Russian broadband provider's collection of smartphones, according to CNET. The device allows users to read text and look at new messages, the time and other important information in a way that saves power in the battery. Users will also be able to send information from the main screen to the back, and it will stay on the back screen even after the battery dies.

The YotaPhone 2 is designed to solve several problems found in the first dual-screen YotaPhone, such as providing greater quality and an abundance of apps.

The main 5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen and the 4.7-inch e-paper display are among several features in the phone, which include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2500mAh battery, The Verge reported.

U.K. smartphone fans can pre-order the YotaPhone 2 from Yota's website for £555 (about $872), and the company will release the phone in 20 European countries and the Middle East for €700.

While no specific release date has been provided for the device in the U.S. and Australia, the YotaPhone 2 is expected to eventually be made available in both countries.
