Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has no desire in being the next Florida Gators coach, Pro Football Talk reports.

Rumors have circulated recently that Florida was very interested in bringing Kelly in to run the show. The University announced last month that current head coach Will Muschamp will not be returning next season. However, Kelly put to bed any rumors of a return to the collegiate level earlier today.

"Florida hasn't contacted me. And if they did, I wouldn't listen. It's false. I think false things are silly," said Kelly. "My whole mantra is be where your feet are. I'm right here, and I'm not concerned about anything else. I'm very happy being here now."

As successful as Kelly has been in his two years at the NFL level, it makes little sense for him to return to college at this time. However, we know that coaches are trained to say all the right things in the moment. After all, Kelly stated he was remaining at Oregon shortly before accepting the Eagles job.

But as of now, it seems certain that Kelly will stay in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future. The Eagles are in first place in the NFC East at 9-3 and posied to make their second consecutive playoff appearance.

Life is good at the top.
