Lucasfilm and Disney have released the first “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer, giving fans a sneak peak at what’s to come in the next franchise installment.

In the teaser, we see four new characters played by actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and an unknown shady figure in the midst holding a lightsaber shaped like a sword.

Rumors of Boyega playing a rogue Stormtrooper may turn out to be true, as we first see him in uniform. Isaac is also playing a X-Wing pilot for the Rebels, but the teaser didn’t confirm or disprove the online rumblings regarding Ridley’s character.

It looks as if Ridley’s introductory scene was filmed in the same desert as Boyega’s clip. If they are in a desert, it’s likely Ridley and Boyega’s characters are on Tatooine.

Badass Digest reported Ridley’s character, codenamed “Kira,” lived on her home planet of Tatooine.

“Kira's got a pretty cool place to call home,” according to Badass Digest. “She lives inside an abandoned AT-AT, knocked over on its side. Remember, AT-ATs are 'all-terrain,' so while we saw them only on a snow world, they would work just as easily on the desert planet where Episode VII opens.”

Sounds plausible after seeing the trailer, right? As for the mysterious figure with the red light saber at the end, that remains a mystery. The list of actor not shown includes Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
