Teresa Giuidice wants a fresh start when she walks out of prison and that means discarding a few things from her past life, like her husband Joe.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star plans to divorce Joe after she's released from prison either late next year or early 2016, according to the Daily Mail. Her husband will start his prison sentence once she gets out so their four children have at least one parent at home.

"Teresa is livid with Joe for putting her in this position so she is fed up and going to send him the divorce papers and tell him to sign them while he is sitting in cell- or else!" a source told the Daily Mail. "Teresa depended on Joe too much to take care of the family and now she is paying for it!"

A federal judged sentenced Teresa to 15 months in jail and Joe received a 41-month sentence. The two pleaded guilty to 41 counts of fraud that allegedly earned them $5 million over 10 years. Her Italian husband could also face deportation after serving his time because he's not an American citizen.

"She trusted Joe and that's why they got into trouble - he was greedy and did some shady deals to live large," the source said. This has been a huge wake-up call for Teresa but she is not going to lay down and give up!"

Teresa will hit the ground running after her prison sentence with a new cooking show on Bravo and a part-time return to "Real Housewives." The reality star has released three cookbooks including "Skinny Italian," "Fabulicious," and "Fabulicious! Fast & Fit."

"Teresa and Bravo have been taking this time to plan a big media event when she is released from prison," the insider said. "Teresa has been so popular with the viewers that they know this is going to be an amazing event."

"Watch What Happens" host Andy Cohen will have the first post-prison interview with Teresa. The network may also conduct a few jailhouse interviews and taped phone calls with celebrity convict.

"Up until now Teresa was just another housewife who loved to cook for her family and lavish her daughters with expensive gifts but now she is planning on being a single mother who has to raise her daughters," the source said. Her daughters range in age from five to 13.

"This is a whole new life for Teresa and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with when she starts over!"
