A lot of pressure and expectations come with being a No. 3 overall pick as a quarterback. Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is apparently not living up to those expectations.

"He can play better," Jags coach Gus Bradley said. "At times, he holds the ball a little too long...his decision making isn't as quick as we need it to be..."

"He's young, but we expect more."

Hopefully not more turnovers, though. Bortles has thrown 15 interceptions this season against only eight touchdowns in nine games.

Granted, there isn't a whole lot of talent around him in Jacksonville, but he's had a passer rating over 80 just three times this season.

"He appears to be strong and very confident," Bradley said. "I think he wants to give more and wants to produce more. . .  We've seen progress in his decision-making; he's throwing fewer interceptions."

"We don't want to take away his freedom to make plays."

Injuries to receivers Cecil Shorts and Allen Robinson haven't helped with Bortles' development. The Jaguars didn't even want Bortles to see the field during his rookie year. But veteran Chad Henne made the move inevitable with consistently poor play.

With 10 interceptions in the last five games, Bortles is making fans second guess that decision.
