Google is getting a lot of heat for the availability of a game in the Google Play store that has players hunt and kill gay men.

The game, called 'Ass Hunter,' has since been removed from Google Play, but it previously received over 10,000 downloads and over 200 five-star ratings, according to the Huffington Post. While the game has reportedly been around for seven years, it received a large amount of downloads shortly after becoming available on Google Play.

The goal of the game is to kill homosexuals before they approach the player, and if they don't, players are shown a cartoon depiction of the men having sex with the hunter.

Ass Hunter's description reads: "Popular game hunting on gays on android! Play and do not be gay!" Mirror.co.uk reported. "Legendary game, where you are hunter and your mission is to kill gays as much as you can or escape between them to the next level. Gays may be hidden in bushes and unexpectedly catch you. Remember! When they catch you they will do with you whatever they want."

Negative reviews for Ass Hunter have flooded into Google Play, with one reviewer, Marcus Hamilton, calling the game "despicable."

"I cannot comprehend how someone could create a 'game' so willfully ignorant, hateful, vile and violent," Hamilton said, adding that the game's developers are condoning violence against gay men and women.

Chad Hollinghead, another reviewer, said there should be a ban on games such as Ass Hunter that focus on "exterminating of minorities," Mirror.co.uk reported.

"This is sickening," Hollinghead said. "I have zero tolerance for hate. We the people should always promote tolerance, love and understanding."

A petition was launched several days ago for the game's removal from Google Play, and it is still available for supporters to sign, the Huffington Post reported.

A Google spokesperson did not say how Ass Hunters was allowed on Google Play, but he did say "we remove apps from Google Play that violate our policies."
