There is definitely an Easter egg at the end of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” film if you’re willing to stay after the credits.

Unfortunately, you won’t be seeing a clip from the next film. At the very end of the credits, a black screen appears which soon becomes filled with hints of red, orange, yellow and gold.

The colors form the Mockingjay symbol found on Katniss’ pin she wore during the first Hunger Games. The symbol then transforms into the “Catching Fire” symbol, and then to the “Mockingjay Part 1” symbol with the bird’s wings spread out.

It ends with the Mockingjay breaks the circle, which symbolizes Katniss finally being able to break free from the roles others want her to take on.

You won’t find any movie spoilers here, but “Mockingjay Part 1” star Jennifer Lawrence has talked about Katniss’ journey in the film. Her character is trying to get used to District 13 while battling post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Katniss has been completely stripped down when we find her at the beginning of this movie,” Lawrence said. “She has suffered from post-traumatic stress from the first Games. She had to go back. She wakes up in a district that she didn’t even know existed. She’s lost her home.

“She’s completely bare and has to rebuild herself. Fortunately, we almost shot in sequence. One of the first scenes I shot was when we first find Katniss and she’s locked herself in an air vent…She’s in a darker place because she’s completely stripped away from everything she knows…”
