Kansas City (7-3) heads into Thursday's contest looking for their sixth straight win.  The Chiefs' latest victory came Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, 24-20.  Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles played a big part in the win, rushing for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while quarterback Alex Smith managed the game with 108 yards passing.

The win against the defending Super Bowl champions was impressive, but Chiefs coach Andy Reid knows playing a game five days later presents a completely different set of challenge.

"You don't have quite as much time to think over things," he said, via ESPN.  "Sometimes that could be a good thing, sometimes it could be bad.  We have to get ourselves back and ready to go quickly, so we understand that."

Oakland, meanwhile, is still searching for their first win.  The 0-10 Raiders lost a close game Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, 13-6.  Rookie quarterback Derek Carr completed 16 of 34 passes for 172 yars in the loss, but he failed to lead the offense into the end zone.  Carr acknowledged his job wouldn't be any easier Thursday against Kansas City's staunch defense, coupled with the short week of preparation.

"There's a lot for every quarterback to get ready for, especially with a talented defense like Kansas City has," he said.  "It just puts more on your plate and you just knock it out in the time that we do have."
