"The Bachelor" creator Mike Fleiss chose the wrong way to handle his neighborly dispute with "Baywatch" alum David Charvet and his wife Brooke Burke, the former co-host of "Dancing with the Stars."

The Los Angeles District Attorney charged Fleiss with "disturbing the peace by loud noise" after he allegedly annoyed his Malibu, Calif., neighbor over a two-month period. He was charged on Nov. 18.

"On or between Aug. 1, 2014 and Sept. 27, 2014, the crime of disturbing the peace by loud noise, a misdemeanor, was committed by Mike L. Fleiss, who did willfully, unlawfully, and maliciously disturb another person, to wit, David Charvet by loud and unreasonable noise," a spokesperson for the District Attorney's office said in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Charvet, who also starred on "Melrose Place," asked for a restraining order against his unruly neighbor last month, but a judge ruled the harassment wasn't "annoying enough," according to TMZ. The 42-year-old actor claimed Fleiss terrorized his family with physical threats and blared the sound of loud barking dogs through speakers directed at Charvet's property.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's department issued Fleiss a citation. The producer of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was "uncooperative with police during the investigation" and told them he was "having sex with his wife" when they came to interview him, according to TMZ.

Another neighbor told The Hollywood Reporter that Charvet has two real German Shepherds "who are disturbing the whole neighborhood."
