The debut trailer has been unveiled for "Wander," a quirky MMO (massively multiplayer online game) that lets you play as a sentient tree, a griffin, and a sea creature.

Set to release on PS4 and PC in March 2015, the "no fighting" MMO was designed by Melbourne native Loki Davison in an effort to make a massively multiplayer world that is focused on story rather than on combat. Instead, "Wander" will task you with travelling its natural settings in many forms.

"I was somewhat of a nomad for a long time," said Davison. "I wandered around Central Asia, Siberia, the Arctic and Himalayas. Growing up I played a lot of MUDs [text based MMO games] and wanted to make a game that was atmospheric, relaxing, and multiplayer. 'Wander' draws on a lot of that experience I wanted to collaboratively explore in a game."

The PS Blog describes that you'll start off in the center of a forest you don't remember, in a form unfamiliar to you. From there you're asked to follow clues and find new ways to explore the world.

From the PS Blog post:

"Playable characters in Wander include the Oren - a walking, sentient tree, and the form you occupy at the beginning of the game; the griffin - with the power of flight; the azertash - with the ability to swim and breathe underwater; and the swift and agile hira. Each of these forms has several unique and gorgeous variants, all with their own cultures, backstories, and specific ways of interacting with other forms and tribes. Along your way you'll discover lorestones, mysterious records that teach you bits of the history of the planet and its inhabitants."

"Wander" will be in playable form at the PlayStation Experience in Vegas next month so, hopefully, there will be much more information upcoming on this captivating title, but for now you can check out the trailer below:
