Thousands of people are flooding the streets of Baruipur, India, to see a child dubbed "God Boy" because he resembles the same deformities as Hindu deities.

The boy has two extra arms and two extra legs, which are the remains of an underdeveloped conjoined twin, Mail Online reported.

"When he first came out we couldn't believe it," an unnamed relative not named told local TV. "The nurses said he was badly deformed but I could see that this was a sign from God. In fact, this is a miracle, its God's baby. Indian God's have extra limbs just like this."

Police dealing with the large crowds of people dying to see the God Baby were much less enthused.

"This is a freak baby and it is tragic, there is nothing godly about him at all," a police spokesman said. "But the crowds are going berserk and clamouring to see the child. Hundreds are crying in the streets, hundreds of others are praying and setting up camp here. Some are even panicking and believe this is a sign of the end of the world. I have never seen anything like this in my whole career."

Although there is a lot of excitement surrounding this eight-limbed baby, he was not the first Indian baby to be born with limbs resembling a Hindu deity.

Lakshmi Tatma, born in 2005, was also born with eight limbs and attracted a lot of villagers who believed she was a Hindu goddess.
