Broward County Circuit Judge, and misdemeanor drug court judge, Gisele Pollack pled guilty in September for driving under the influence and is now in the hands of the Florida Supreme Court, who will ultimately decide what to do with Pollack's career, according to the Sun-Sentinel and Local 10 News.

Pollack met with the state's Judicial Qualifications Commission on Thursday and vowed never to drink again, stating she has experienced a spiritual revelation since her arrest.

Pollack was not only arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in early May; there was also an incident where she was intoxicated on the bench, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

"We have a judge who has a serious disease," said Dave Bogenschutz, Pollack's attorney. "We ask you to look at her and to give her the same chance that she's given those thousands of people these many years that she has graced, and I say graced our county court."

In May, the Florida Supreme Court suspended Pollack and said she took the bench drunk twice within three months, according to Local 10 News. Pollack then walked out of a residential rehabilitation program and got into a car wreck while drunk that same night and injured the driver of the other vehicle.

After Friday's hearing, the panel will review the evidence and the testimony and make a recommendation to the Florida Supreme Court.

The Florida Supreme Court could sanction or suspend Pollack from the bench for her offense, or she could be removed from the bench permanently, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
